𝐇𝐨𝐠 𝐂𝐮𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐬 𝐚 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐝-𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐝𝐫𝐨𝐩!

Up until Thursday night, the Hog Cutters family took a lot pride in our largest capture of 37 hogs in a single gate drop. While we are still proud to have aided our client in removing that many hogs from their farm, there is something about hitting that home-run.

When Josey answered my call after only 3 hours of sleep, I knew he was going to be finished resting for a long while. “Hey bud, we have got over 50 hogs in the King trap”. Two sounders coming together, relaxed enough to eat side-by-side, gave us all the opportunity we needed. No signs of stragglers outside the trap, no hogs missing from their groups; the gate was dropped.

54 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘥 𝘩𝘰𝘨𝘴 𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳.

The sun again rose through the trees of South Georgia, over a tired man, with a heart to serve and a smile in his voice. He tells me, “We got 54. You know the world record is 61?”

To make this huge drop even more exciting, was the use of some new camera technology we recently received from Jager Pro. Josey installed the new live video MINE camera on this trap only a few days before. Not only were we able to count and trap the movements of each hog is almost real time, the field of view gives us an even wider view of the trap interior. I will not go into all of the new features, but it is definitely worth checking out. The only thing that would have made this success even sweeter? To have The Boss, Zeb, Wyatt, and Mr. John by Josey’s side to finish the job.
