𝐒𝐥𝐨𝐰 𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧!
Well folks, its time to come clean. Your friendly neighborhood hog trapping reporter made a mistake. Did anyone else notice how we added 2 dead hogs to 980 and got 990? Anyone? Dang. I missed sharing the story of a gate drop that filled in that gap between 980 and 988.
Keeping track of the Hog Cutters crew is a task that requires a lot of attention and communication. In addition to taking care of their social media, websites, etc., I also provide monitoring for the multitude of cameras Hog Cutters is responsible for.
As much as I appreciate the fact that Jager Pro makes great portable wild hog traps, the Georgia crew just never slows down! As I am standing at the sink doing my dishes, watching the images from my phone perched on the window sill – poof- a gate disappears. Hmm. Something is happening down in the swamp. The next minute I get a text pin for a bait site location another county over. Ok. Relocating another trap. Thank God for Post-It notes.
Do you recall the post a few days ago about the “playground bully” that was causing havoc for us? The group in this evening’s post was the sounder he was tormenting in our trap. A day after the bully boar was removed, this group came to feed in our trap. It was really a relief to see them arrive. The command was sent and Josey did his magic.
It would be easy to blame my error on the confusion of the rapid and aggressive methods the Hog Cutters use: or tracking 13 traps and monitoring 23 individual cameras almost 24 hours a day. It was my mistake. Sharing the progress of this exceptionally hard working family is an honor I do not take lightly. I do not want to diminish the effort that goes into every single wild hog down.
Thanks for hanging in there with us folks.
