Hog Cutters uses one of the best bait feeders we have found on the market. It is reliable, easy to use, and has incredible longevity. The feeder impressed us so much, we worked with the manufacturer to create a perfect tool for baiting and surviving wild hogs.

What we use is the Hog Cutters version of On Time Feeders There is one aspect that is incredibly important for not only the On Time Feeder, but all feeders that operate with a spreader You need to use clean bait.

In the photo below, you see a close-up of the ejection area of an On Time Feeder. Looking closely you can see a corn cob blockage of the funnel opening. When you add bait to your feeder, anything that larger or heavier than the opening can create a blockage.

Hog Cutters uses a mixture of CLEAN feed corn and Texas Hog Bait. The combination is easily fed through and spread as scheduled. If we use rough corn that is not clean, it will frequently contain chunks of cob or other debris.

Obviously wild hogs would not be particular about cobs or husk in their feed. However, keeping the feeder functioning properly is pivotal to conditioning hogs to your food source.

When conditioned to rely on your food source, especially during peak hog trapping season, even educated hogs can be drawn in and trapped.

This is another of those small details that can make your hog trapping endeavors successful.
